This is a very random post as I am in the middle of a bunch of projects......Aren't these pretty? The jar is an antique that is a pale pink. The flowers are crocus (or is it crocii?) and scillia.
How wonderful are these reds??? Kathie from Inspired By Antique Quilts had a give away and I won them. I know they look very traditional but I already have an idea for them.....Thank you again Kathie! I think there is going to be a revival of red and white quilts.
This is another bee block I recieved in the mail yesterday. Thanks Nichole! I love the hexagons. Red and white...are we seeing trend?
We are spring cleaning and getting ready to redo some things in the house. I had to take this off the wall and I thought you might enjoy seeing it. It was made by my friend, Cynthia from Arkansas. She donated it to our annual auction at Calico Cutters and I made sure to bid on it until I got it! I think this quilt started me on the path of doing things "a little off kilter". The colors are beautiful and it is a special quilt.
This is why I am not a fan of spring.....yesterday it was 78, today it is 41 and raining and cold and my daffodils don't look so good.
There is a quilt in the washer, if I can get it together, later today I will post it.

ReplyDeleteThe scillia are so pretty. my patch has finally started to spread after 3 years. I should cut some and put them in wine glass. I love your pale pink vase.
ReplyDeleteFancy winning red fabrics when you're in a red and white mood. Good catch! Those flowers are so beautiful!! I love crocus! They look so precious.
