This was a total impulse buy. Today it is a rainy day and on my way home from errands I stopped at Barnes and Noble. I picked up this book, Hankie Couture by Marsha Greenberg .
The dresses she makes are so cool. They are all from vintage hankies.....now you know what to do with all those hankies you have been saving up!
The detail is amazing, even a hat and purse!
This is one of my favorites, it's pink and I love how she used those flowers along the hem. I can't imagine making these for a child and I don't collect dolls, but this could be a fun challenge.
She sells her own doll, it's not a Barbie. I do think Barbie would approve though, she might even be a little envious!

ReplyDeleteI think someone has too much time on their hands!

I'll have to check out the book next time I'm a B&N..

I really love that a lot, I could have sworn it was a vintage Barbie. It makes me want a doll just to dress up.
ReplyDeleteOMG two things that I love, vintage hankies and barbie - you've made my morning!
