Slim Pickings Here

This is all I have to show for my sewing over the weekend. I did sew each day and it is slow going.
It is a quilt for a book (not mine) so I won't be able to show it to you even when I am finished!

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

Today Bob and I went to see The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo. I really liked it, the actress that played Lisbeth was great! I do think though that if you read the book first it will make a whole lot more sense. Overall I give it a thumbs up!

  2. We rented the 2009 release of "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." The lead actress in it is Noomi Rapace. After seeing it, I can't imagine that the US version of it is better. Now I don't know if I even want to see the latest one!

  4. Hey, you got more sewing done than I did! Can't wait to see what you're doing. And super-cool that it's for a book!!

I've not read the books, but did see all 3 of the Swedish movies. They were so good. I can't imagine that the American versions could improve on them. I couldn't tell that it was the same story based on the trailers I saw. Glad to hear you enjoyed the movie. Have you seen the Swedish version? If so, I'd love to hear what you think.

  6. ooooHH A secret quilt- How exciting!! I like it already, it has a nice pink stripey feel to it.

I haven't read the books, We have them but I just haven't gotten round to it yet. It's rare a film is better than a book, but great to hear you enjoyed the film.

  7. did you see the original swedish films? I read the books and really liked the S films. Am quite curious to see how the American one differs and if they will do all three books.
