Over at http://www.kootoyoo.com/ different people are sharing their creative spaces. I am lucky to have a dedicated space that used to be my husband's office until he out grew it. It is really nice to be able to shut the door on the whole mess of creativity when needed. The shelves are an industrial metal type which are nice because they don't bend at all and you can see through them.
I have not sewn all summer long. In June a storm came through our area and a tree fell on my car and on my head. I broke 3 bones in my neck (C1, C2, and C6).
I was in the hospital for a week and am in a neck brace for at least another month and then physical therapy. I am very lucky as it could have been a lot worse.
Not only has it cut into my sewing but I haven't been able to get my hair done (think shampoo bowl and broken neck) and the gray is really showing!
Have a wonderful Labor Day. Happy Anniversary to my brother-in-law Rick and his wife Colleen!

I can certainly relate to the neck brace. I had neck surgery in 1993 (removal of 2 vertebrae in my neck plus a bone transplant from my pelvis and a metal plate put in my neck). I had to wear a similar brace for about 3 months. What an experience. I caught up on all of the tv reruns that I had never seen as I worked in the evenings but eventually the brace came off and I was able to catch up on my quilting. Still going strong...
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to it coming off, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
