Food Coma

Thanksgiving weekend was fun but too many days of celebrating is taking it's toll. Honestly I was very good about not eating too much but I was exhausted come Sunday!
I finished up my quilt. I took this picture before it was quilted and the bows are not on the wreaths yet.

This is one of my favorite blocks....

and this one too. I opted not to do a border but a nice red binding to frame it as you can see above.

I also am participating in a mug rug swap and got this one out in the mail yesterday.

I am going to start another project tomorrow using these pretties as the clock is ticking.

I have decided this year to get a live small tabletop tree instead of a big one. I am curious to see what my kids  have to say about it and the grandchildren! I have a lot of social obligations coming up so blogging may have to take a back seat with only a few posts here and there. I will be back full force in the new year.

  1. Hi Kelly, I love your Christmas quilt! It has been fun to see the different versions of the quilt. I hope you might be able to answer a question for me. Can you tell me the name of the red, white, and black leaf fabric that is on top in the last photograph. I really like it and hope that I will be able to purchase some. Thanks! 9. It turned out darling. I think my favorite block is the house. Good luck with the tree. I tried to change corners one year and the kids went crazy. Family fun is the best, enjoy every second.

  10. Those blocks came together into a super cute quilt! I like how the prints in the backgrounds really liven it up. This time of year can be such a struggle to get it ALL done. Take good care of yourself and make some time to just be merry...that's what I keep telling myself anyway. :)

  11. Your Christmas quilt is very pretty. Great fabric choices! Hope you find a wall to hang it on so everyone can enjoy it. Everyone in our family has always put up real trees... IF we put up a tree. We won't be putting one up this year because no one is coming to visit. Sorta sad, but I'm trying to appreciate that we got to spend time with everyone in November. Have fun with all your holiday socials!

  14. Next year sounds so far away but I'm glad it is actually right around the corner. I have big plans but need to get thru holidays first. I like the ornament the best...mittens are #2...then the stocking. Notice a theme?
