Married Girl
Yes I know it is called Single Girl, but I am not, so I am changing the name. I started this at our Penn Oaks Getaway last weekend, and I like it a lot! I finally got to use my newly acquired curved piecing skills.
Yesterday my friend Jane said "you used templates???" Yes and that is part of the reason why it takes so long to make but I like the fact that the pieces are different sizes, it makes it interesting.
This will be a "make a block every once in a while"kind of quilt.

Way back when rotary cutters came out, I was in a small group of quilters - we called templates "the T word", haha. Happy to say I am over that! Love the block, just wondering, is each small piece a template too, or do you free piece the arc, maybe paper piece it? Many ways to make this fun block. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteNice to see templates being used - still. The Quilted Librarian has made several of the Single Girl quilt pattern.
ReplyDeleteI have that pattern! Thanks for the reminder that I need to start working on it again! Great married girl fabrics--looks like you got those templates to fit nicely together!
ReplyDeletesuper fun. I like the look of this quilt too - have making them over time.
ReplyDeleteLooks so cute. Great fabrics. I like the once in a while plan.
ReplyDeleteI like your every soft often plan. Does it take a long time to make? Looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI just realized, I have missed reading so many of your posts lately. Great show and tell from the getaway. Your Married girl block is so fresh and fun.
ReplyDeleteHow many will you be making? Will it be a bed size quilt?
Looking good! Well done you!
