Brrrrrrr and a Giveaway!

Jaxon and Cameron 5 months old
It's finally freezing here and we might be getting a big snowstorm this weekend! This picture warms my heart. Look how much they have grown! They are the sweetest little boys. Cameron looks very much like my son and Jaxon looks like his mom's side of the family.

They are big boys now, sitting in their highchairs and eating food. It was fun to watch their faces as they tasted the food. I tried to get some more pictures but they are at the age where they don't hold still so they were all blurry! Colin and Jenny are doing a great job as parents of twins. The boys have been sleeping.through.the.night.for.2months.now! Lots of high 5's for them!

While everyone else is hitting the store for milk, bread and eggs, I am at my local quilt shop making sure I have projects to get me through the next couple of days. This adorable fabric was at The Quilt Block and even though I don't have a little girl in mind, I just could not resist!

It is a panel and has a sorts of fun things to make. Lil Red also has a hood (red of course).

A doll quilt! I love this, complete with a backing fabric. So if you are local, go to the Quilt Block and get yours now before it is gone (610-363-0404). I think they would send it to you to if you live far away.

They have some pretty cute companion fabric too!

I also spied this that will work great with my giant hexagon project.

The Legend of Zelda quilt is coming along. All the blocks are complete and now I have to add the surrounding fabric.

I want to finish it up so I can get back to some other projects. I very seldom just work on one project from start to finish (oh what a surprise!)

Next up is our annual Penn Oaks Getaway. I need to get some projects ready for that too.

I will giveaway one panel of this adorable fabric. Tell me what is your favorite thing to do during a snowstorm. Do you also hit up the quilt store? I will pick a name next Wednesday, January 27th. Please be sure I have your email or you will not be eligible to win. Good Luck!

Giveaway is now closed!

Kelly

  5. Oh I like to cozy-up and have a cuppa tea and hand sew while watching the flakes fall--then at night--we put our motion light on and see the flakes shine in the dark... hugs, Julierose

  7. Those little boys are getting cuter all the time. I had to laugh though with your post title about a giveaway and then the picture of the boys! LOL. You found some Super cute fabric and your circle a day has some fun fabrics too. During a snowstorm the best thing to do is watch movies, stitch and bake cookies.

  9. Congrats on the twins sleeping through the night for 2 months already!!!!! Wow, and both of them are doing it, too! My youngest didn't sleep through the night until she was 1.5 yrs. old. I love your Zelda blocks. My son would love something like this! I'm currently making him a lego quilt based on a tumbler block quilt concept, but I'll keep the pixel idea in mind for his next one... :) During winter snow storms what I like to do most is go out in them with my kids. They're really excited for the storm this weekend -- I hope we really DO get a storm! sarah@forrussia.org

  12. We rarely get snowstorms in England but I would certainly hunker down with a hot chocolate and some sewing while I had the chance to stay inside and not go to work. Thank you for a fun giveaway. x

  14. After all these years of living in snow country, I still don't like snowstorms! But, if we keep our power, I sew and if we don't, I knit. And try to keep warm..

  18. It doesn't snow where I live. If there is a storm I try to watch it but have something to distract me from worrying.

  19. They grow up so fast, next you will be chasing them around the table. Lol! I love sewing on snowy and rainy days. We got about 4 inches of snow last night. I'm going to put a binding on a baby quilt today. And yes I did go to the fabric store yesterday. I needed new rotary blades and some bobbins. Hubby went and the some milk.

  20. The babies are just too cute! I love the teamwork of their mommy and daddy! My favorite thing to do in a snowstorm is to put dinner in the crockpot and get busy in my sewing room!

  21. I think you are getting all of our Wisconsin snow storms of late. We are having a mild winter by Wis. standards. But the last time we did get a good snow it was sew sew sew for me. I love that fabric.

  22. The babies are so cute. It is so much fun when you can see their personalities coming out. When it snows I like to sew but also we have always watched the movie white Christmas when we would have a snow day.

  23. During a storm I want to put a crock pot of something on so it smells up the house... Grab a book or 2 or 3 (it could be a long storm) and curl up in my chair (with a quilt of course) and watch the snow come down. I have a large black puppy (80 + pounds), and a playing black puppy in a white snow fall is a delight to watch.

  36. Great to see the boys growing so well and isn't it wonderful they are sleeping so well.
Lovely fabrics for play in your snow storm. I am afraid I have never been in a snow storm, not even when we have been visiting PA. I am better at getting organised for heat waves and hide in my sewing room with the air con blasting away.

  37. Oh Kelly, you make me smile. Your grandsons are absolutely adorable, and I find it quite interesting how different they look from each other. The fabric is cute, but please don't enter me in your giveaway. I wouldn't be able to find anyone to sew this for. And besides... I am delighted to say that I will never deal with a snowstorm again! :-)
