Before I announce the winners I wanted to tell you why I was so late getting around to pulling the names. It has been a full week of obligations, ones I truly love and wouldn't trade for anything. One of them was book club and I was hosting. Our book was 11/22/63 by Stephen King. This is a first...... EVERYONE like the book! I highly recommend it if you are looking for a good read, we had a great discussion. I did a bit of a theme to make it fun. One of the characters smoked Lucky Strikes and I couldn't make myself go out and buy the real thing so I improvised.
So on the heels of reading a great SK book I went out and got this at the library and I am really enjoying it. In the beginning he talks about how his career in writing started (he tells you all about the inspiration of Carrie) and some wonderful tips about writing your own novel. Not that it is on the list yet.....

ReplyDeleteLove to watch those little boys grow. Super cuties.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly. I am putting those books on my someday list too
ReplyDeleteYeah for Judy Newby! Finn will be off and walking before you know it and the twins are so squishy and sweet! I love it! I bought both of those books for my son Tripp who is a voracious SK fan and a writer himself. I borrowed 11-22-63 from him and I LOVED it, my first SK read. It's a great book club book since there is so much to discuss, I'm not surprised everyone loved it, it's incredible! The Kennedy assassination is a big memory for me and I was only in first grade. Now if I can just get Tripp to read it!!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to read the writing book! Oh, those grand boys. Enjoy and squish and hug!
