Last spring I participated in a house block swap with some friends. I started putting them together and put them away as I was not sure what I wanted to do with them. I added a tree that I did a tutorial on a long time ago.
My scrap sewing pile is growing. The other day I saw on Crazy Mom Quilts that she is doing a sew along with scraps and I happen to have a bunch! I will see what she is doing and maybe sew along. Notice there is no purple in the pile......my least favorite color. I am rethinking that idea.
There is something satisfying about stacking them all up and putting them in a basket for safe keeping.

Oh yes, these a fun happy scraps for sure!! Who needs purple when you have aqua, reds, yellow and hints of pink, I always love the fresh colours you use!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful pile of colour you have there. Lots of possibilities.
ReplyDeleteSo funny! You use the same colors I use. No purple in my stash either...my least favorite! Love your choices!
ReplyDeleteLove your house block !! So funny with funny fabrics !! It's a good idea to use your scraps like that !
ReplyDeleteThe inspiration come back.... :)
comes back... ! sorry for my mistake !!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Back! I see the hiatsis is over. You have a great start to a wonderful scrappy quilt. Never noticed the lack of purple til you pointed out.
ReplyDeleteYou're killing me - I want to see more of the house quilt :)
ReplyDeleteWow that is a super scrappy fun quilt. sometimes its nice to just sit and piece.
Love this house! and love your scraps!!! I have that quilt on my want-to-do list but my scraps are not so uniformly organized or "cut"
ReplyDeleteA festival of colour in those scraps, Kelly! Looks to me that you have the makings for a beautiful scrappy quilt. Maybe you could tuck in a house or two? That fussy cut house block with the tree is so fun and would add a bit of delightful whimsy amongst the scraps.
ReplyDeleteI thought about following along with the scrap quilt too. My scraps aren't nearly as candy colored pretty as yours are though!
ReplyDeletePurple least favorite! We have such different color choices. Your scraps always look glorious..
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one who lacks purple in her stash. (There is also very little orange in mine, because I only use it for pumpkins). I love your scraps and would love to see a quilt made with them. Your blog is fun and inspiring.
