He got some hugs and kisses from the munchkins..............
..............and then he was off on his adventure. My friend, Terry has also hiked the AT. It is only because she has told me stories about how wonderful it is that I did not feel a little scared dropping him off, in the middle of nowhere. He is having an awesome time. His wife is picking him up Sunday. So far he has hiked about 25 miles in 2 days.

What a great endeavor! I bet it's a beautiful trail. So much more sensible and enjoyable than running a marathon. Good for him!
ReplyDeleteIs he starting at Katahdin or the southern end (Georgia?) or somewhere in between. Hard to let our babies go off on solo adventures. What a wonderful time he will have! Jan

ReplyDeleteAll by himself? Wow! Good for him!
ReplyDeleteHave fun Colin! I'm glad you had some company in the car. It would feel strange dropping your son off, but what a great thing to experience!!
