I feel like I really did not take advantage of a lot of free time last week. I think it took all week to recover from all the holiday festivities! Yesterday I did undecorate the house and as much as I like all the red, I am always happy when it is all gone!
I am back to working on the scrap baskets. I really want to get this one done. There are only a few blocks left to applique so I think I need to set some goals to get it done.
I still have not decided how I am going to set these but they make me happy just looking at them all spread out. A little brightness on a cold dreary day.
My quilt as you go is coming along also....I appreciate all the emails and comments I got on how to go about it. I will post my progress as I go along. My husband has named this quilt for me-----Procrastination----I think it is accurate. He knows me well!
I got the first panel quilted and after much thought I just meandered all over it. My friend, Cheryl gave me the suggestion to quilt it from the back then turn it over and be surprised! I could NOT be that free! This again is not a quilt I am in love with and just want to get it done. Stay tuned, this could turn into a nightmare!!!

Keep going, Kelly! It looks better with each step.
ReplyDeleteit looks great. Quilting from the back would be fun, scary but fun!Makes me want to get some of my lone blocks out.

I love the two weeks after Christmas best of all when I can relax and do my own thing. The baskets look great and I do love the sampler as well. You're being very good getting onto these two projects. Keep going, I'll cheer you on from the sideline.
