Kerchief Girl Wednesday

I am so happy that this fabric has been brought back to life and they even added some new colors. I have been pining away for years waiting to see if they would reissue it. I just find it so charming and quaint. It's called Kerchief Girls. It will be popping up in some of my upcoming projects.

As you can see I cut into the pink Kerchief Girls right away......These are cut 1 1/2".

I received a belated birthday present from my friend Leslie. We both fell in love with this quilt a couple of years ago and now it is a pattern! It will be a good handwork project for an upcoming trip and on my bee days.

Leslie also gave me this new to me product calle Ruler Magic. You put a little bit on the back of your ruler, let it dry and it keeps it from slipping. Have you tried it? Any tips as to putting it on?

I bought these shamrocks (oxalis) last month. They are just so happy in my bright kitchen. The little white flowers against the green are so fresh and feel like spring. I feel like I can safely say, winter is gone and spring is right around the corner!

  2. Yes, we need a Ruler Magic report. I talked to the seller in his booth but balked at the high price. Worth it if it saves slips and fingers!

  3. Spring has come to your house with little girls in kerchiefs and the flowers of the shamrock plant. I only have three living plants in my house and two of them are shamrocks!

  6. I purchased some vintage blocks off eBay a few years ago. They wouldn't lay flat either! Just a few months ago, I read an article that said to starch and steam the crap out of them (I am paraphrasing, of course) and then weigh them down until they are cool. I used my 12-1/2: ruler with a book on top of it. Took forever, but it worked well enough to piece them together. Hope this helps!
