Mid Week State of Confusion
I cut and pieced this top within a 24 hr period. Now to get it quilted.....oh! I love the fabrics, some old Amy Butler that I found in my closet and had forgotten. I am letting Amy out of the closet so to speak!
I am piecing the back which I really like, but you actually have to figure it out and sew them together. Much more work than using a whole piece. I am stalling......
This is an old cotton fabric that I love but am going to use it on the back. The color and pattern remind me of Liberty fabrics.
I bought this wonderful fabric at the quilt show. isn't it great? Sorry there are no pictures from the show......not allowed to post them to any internet sites.
This room is a mess, it will get some of my attention this weekend!

Your room might be messy but it's wonderful, busy creative fabric mess! The post is full of beautiful fabrics. Looking forward to seeing your Amy quilt and those lobsters are really fun!!
ReplyDeleteYou call that a mess? My room would send you screaming in fear! It looks like good stuff to me.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors. I'm all into piecing backings. It's my way to try and use up fabric. The additional bonus is that you end up with a 2 sided quilt.
ReplyDeletelove the lobster fabric!!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, pieced back are not necessarily quick or easy - but they are fun!
Your work room looks like a room where lots of work is done! The quilt fabrics look lovely. Good luck with the finish.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics. I seem to take a long time to work out the math to do a pieced back and then I still have to get it all pieced. I do like the look of pieced back. (Plus I save money for more fabric LOL).
ReplyDeleteA wee bit of mess never hurt anyone.;)
Now I want to rummage through your closets... LOVE that lobster fabric! Who made it?
