Lost And Found

What can I has been a hectic couple of days and so there has been no posting, sorry to all you faithful people who check to see what's up. I am feeling like I am in the twilight zone.....

We got about 4 inches the other day and no power for about 12 hours. The power went out just as I was getting ready to dry my hair for a wedding. Hooray for the generator!

The wedding went on, though a little late as people were having trouble with the roads. We also found out they were without power and the entire wedding was being powered by, yes a GENERATOR! What would we do without one.

The bride looked so pretty. Don't all brides look pretty on their special day? I think there is a glow about them. We met some new neighbors that we clicked with right away. They live about a mile down the road  which means "neighbor' where we live.

Look at her sash. This seems to be a trend, I have seen quite a few. She said she got it on Etsy. It really made her dress unique. It did help that she was a size 2. On me I would have looked like a float at the rose bowl parade!

Elliot (Batman), Maddy (Butterfly) and Griffin(Scarey Guy)
The trick or treaters had a great time and made a good haul of candy.

Maddy, Fallon, Griffin, Dylan and Elliot

Dylan was a hit with all the little kids who were out trick or treating. They wanted their picture taken with Robin.
I am slowly getting around to getting some sewing done.....maybe soon I will have something to show.

  1. The bride was beautiful - loved the sash too! Hope things get back to "normal" (whatever that is) - it is waaayy too early for snow!

  2. Ugh!! Snow....I wondered if you got some. Kinda chilly trick-or-treating, I all the costumes. I've gotten a kick out of son dressed up as Superman a few years can't take the 'little' out of the boy...right!
Hope the white stuff is melted!!

  3. I'm so glad the wedding was able to go ahead. The bride is gorgeous, and I noticed her beautiful sash straight away. Is the snow early? It sure is a lot! Your spooky trick or treaters are so much fun and I can well believe Robin was the star on the day!!

  4. lucky you only losing power for 12 hours....
we went out Sat around 1 and it is still out
in a hotel the house is too cold.
hopefully by tomorrow they are saying
I can't wait to get back to my sewing room
Robyn looks great!!!! very fun to have a dad that dresses up!
and the bride is beautiful, I love the sash, wow!!!!
glad the kids were able to enjoy halloween, they all look cute :) they postponed halloween till Saturday here.

  5. The bride looked radiant. Hurrah for generators!

I'm so happy that you have met nice new neighbours.

I can understand why "Robin" was a hit!

  6. Looks like you had a great weekend after all! If I know anyone who can make the lemonade out of lemons, it is you! I am glad you enjoyed the wedding regardless of the snow and power outage.
The bride looks gorgeous! And those kids are so darn cute!
    See you soon!

I love to read your comments, they make my day!
