It's Friday Let's Have A Giveaway!
Earlier this summer I was contacted by Triangle On A Roll and asked to try their product and if I wanted, to do a giveaway. They sent me the 60* Triangles on a Roll which is the one I am using in the above picture. It is perfect for a border which is how I thought I would use it. Then this swap came along and I decided I will be designing my quilt using these. It's a Kaffe Fassett swap so stay tuned to see what I am making.
One of the nice things I like is that the directions are printed along the edge of the paper so you can't lose them. I also like that it is one continuous piece so you can cut them as long as you need for your project.
There is even a visual which is good for me! I like pictures.
I also received this ruler to pre-cut your triangles, instead of winging it and having to trim the seam allowances. The roll I chose has 2 sizes to pick, either 3 12/" or 6 1/2".
In no time at all they were cut and I was ready to sew.
So the first giveaway is a roll of 2" finished Triangles on a roll. This roll makes 800!
The second is a roll of Quarter Square Triangles and it makes 300 and they finish at 3 1/2".
Here is my review-----I do like paper piecing as I like somethings to be very exact. The product was easy to use and I like how everything was on the roll, no instructions to lose! I would recommend this product and can't wait to gt back to my quilt.
In my quest to clean out e.v.e.r.y. single room in my house, I came across a class picture from 3rd grade. That was 50 years ago, I almost choked!
So in order to win, guess which picture is me. I know some of you don't know what I look like but that does not mean you can't win. Just take a wild guess! Be sure to let me know which roll you would like to win.
If I don't have your email I can't contact you if you are a winner. Please be sure to leave it with your comment.
I will pick a winner on July 24th.
GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED!
Good luck!
Kelly
I've used Triangles on the Roll for a long time. It's a great product. It would be interesting to try the 60° papers. Okay, I'm the first to guess...4th row down, middle girl.
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about these papers - would love to give them a try! I'm guessing you are in the fourth row on the far right - I used to have glasses just about exactly like that! LOL
ReplyDeleteThird row down, girl on the right I'm guessing! x
ReplyDeleteThis comment is for Robin
ReplyDeleteYou are on the very bottom row in the left hand corner, right?
I have to agree with Robin- bottom row, left corner. Your triangles are looking good!
ReplyDeleteSt. Luke...... where are your uniforms!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the little girl on the bottom left. Is that you?
ReplyDeleteI like the little girl on the bottom left. Is that you?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun challenge! I'm guessing the fourth row far left. Your triangles are looking delightful! Your fabric selections and color sense are some of the reasons that I love your blog. I like to paper piece and I'd love to try the triangles on a roll. And either size would be great.
ReplyDeleteFun giveaway! I'm guessing second row, first on the left! I'd love either roll, each would be great to try!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this giveaway ! Well for me, you are the young teenager on the first row on the top, the first on the left !
ReplyDeleteI wish you a lovely weekend !
I'm guessing 4th row down ... middle girl.
ReplyDeleteNever tried these before. Thanks for the chance to win!!
I am saying the Girl in the 4 th row with the peter pan Collar .. what a Fun way to have a Giveaway...! ! !
ReplyDeleteFourth row, middle
ReplyDeleteinteresting...would like to try it
ReplyDeleteThird row second girl in. Good way to try paper piecing!!
ReplyDeleteI am going to guess the girl on the bottom row that is last. I would love the ones that finish 3.5. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how hard this is! And I know what you look like! I think we all need a hint.
ReplyDeleteFirst row, second from the left. They are all gorgeous kids.
ReplyDeleteThe first girl in the first row.
ReplyDeleteI guess 3rd row - second girl. Wow that is harder than I would have thought.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! Put me in for the larger ones :)
great review and i can't wait to see what you are up to!!
second row...far right?
ReplyDeleteMy guess is 4th row down, middle. the girl with the white collar and it looks like a barrette in her hair. Hope i'm right :) such a fun way to do a giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI do think you are in row 4, column 1.
ReplyDeleteNow how do I learn to like to make quilts out of triangles... I love the look but match points...ehhhh!
I would love to have the quarter square 3 1/2 inch roll, if I luck out and guess correctly, haha! My guess is the 4th row, next to the bottom, and that you are the third girl over with a barrette in her hair :). Fun idea!
ReplyDeleteTop row second from left with cute hair bow. But c'mon they are all darling! Have fun with your project!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! My guess is bottom row far left!
ReplyDeleteTop row, on the right....though I am of course guessing wildly! I have seen these triangles on websites, but not in NZ, so am delighted to see your review. I might have to slip some in a future online order, just waiting for our dollar to rise again against the US$. Budgets are such a hindrance to stash acquisition. Tarnia.hodges at gmail.com
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun giveaway!! I haven't seen these triangles on a roll before and they look great!! I guess you're the sweet girl on the bottom row in the left hand corner.
ReplyDelete3rd row down, second left???
ReplyDeleteI've never tried these papers so I'd love to try either!
I will also guess the fourth row, middle girl....
ReplyDeleteI would love to try either of the triangles.

All the girls are adorable! How about second row, first on left. I would take the 2in to try. I hate small things.
ReplyDeleteI am guessing the lower left corner. She looks like she could be one of your grandkids. Those triangle papers look helpful. I love the look of HST's but don't always want the work of them. I would pick the bigger size. I also loved your hexagon Halloween quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love little games like this. Bottom row, second girl from the left. I would love the quarter square triangles, if I win. =)
ReplyDeleteMy guess-first girl on the left top row!
ReplyDeleteI'd love the 3 1/2 inch papers-they look so easy to use-have never tried them but would like to!
I think your the one on the very bottom row on my right as I'm looking at the pic. I found some of these early school pics of me too. My children got a kick out of them. Thank you for the giveaway and hVe a great day!
ReplyDeleteDmac5958@aol.com
I pick the 4th row down, the girl in the middle....and I love the 3 1/2 inch roll.....
ReplyDeleteOoooh me too...3rd row, 3rd lil' girl!! The smile is so close! I would love to win the 3&1/2'' Triangles roll....looks like lots of fun too! Thanks for the chance! :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe second row from bottom and middle picture. The 3 1/2 inch looks interesting. jarvenpa1ne at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteWow difficult: I think you could be the girl on the third row, second picture (first girl in that row). Both rolls look fun to try, may be I would like to try the 2 " finished triangles.
ReplyDelete(Second guess, if I could make a second guess: the girl with the glasses)
It is fun to look at old pictures don't you think? I'm very curious who you are!
Groetjes
Annemieke
My guess is the first girl in the third row.
ReplyDeleteBottom row, center girl :)
ReplyDeleteheatheranne99 at gmail dot com
Last row, far right? Too fun! I haven't tried the 60 degree triangles yet. Now I'm tempted!
ReplyDeleteNow this is a unique contest...how creative! Not only would I love to try those triangles, but I love seeing "old" class pictures! We are about the same age and I just cringe looking at my old photos. Yikes! My guess is that you are the middle little lady in the 4th row, with the reeeealllly short bangs and the Peter Pan collar.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway! I would love to try these triangles. Perhaps you are in the third row, second from the left?
ReplyDeleteMy wild guess is the first girl on the first row! I've used the half square triangles on a roll and was pleased but did not know these others existed. I would choose the 60 degree triangles as they are difficult to get even. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteEasy. You are in the middle row (3rd row down), second from the left (a boy first, then you). The hard part is choosing which triangles - I would choose the 2" triangles since I have the half square triangle method nailed.
ReplyDeletemiddle girl on the bottom row! cutest school pictures ever! and i would pick the 2in triangles. I'm pretty good at HST's but have never attempted any other kind of triangle
ReplyDeleteroseharries_06@hotmail.com
I'm going with bottom right corner, based on her adorable cheeks. If I won, I love the first roll. A border of triangles would be a great addition to any quilt!
ReplyDeleteOh, my guess is the last photo on the last row to the right! If I am lucky enough to win, I would love to try the 3.5 quarter square triangles!
ReplyDeleteThird row, second picture. Any of the rolls would be great fun to try
ReplyDelete3rd row, last cutie on the right!1 ;--))) I would love the 2" triangles on a roll...they look so great to use...thanks so much for the chance.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Julierose
I think that's you in the third row, second from the left. If I win, I'd prefer the 2 inch triangles. Looks like a fast way to make triangles with the points matching perfectly.
ReplyDelete4th row 5th picture. And if not, i wanna be her
ReplyDeleteI'd say first row, second from the left. I'd love the triangles too. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI think you are the adorable little girl in the top row, 2nd from left!. I would enjoy trying these papers, any of them, but loved your 60* ones. Your project turned out so pretty and looks very accurate! nyla@valornet.com
ReplyDeleteI think you are the second from the left on the third row. Nice smile.
ReplyDelete4th row down 1st person on left. Has to be you.. Awesome game.
ReplyDeleteLove it. Your doll quilt exchange person.
Laurie
Your profile picture is small, but ok, I will try to guess... 4th row, first girl?
ReplyDeleteGreat triangles! I would like the first one if possible.
Cute girls! Maybe on the 5th row down, last girl?
ReplyDeleteFun giveaway! I would love to win the roll of 2" finished Triangles
Third row, second from left??? I love using triangle paper for the accuracy and the 2" finished would be perfect for a project I have coming up--thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness! I'm thinking second row, on the far right with the necklace. Thanks for the fun game.
ReplyDeleteBottom row; right corner? I'd like to try the triangle roll.
