My block for this week is strawberries. This has been a fabulous year for them, some of the best I have ever tasted. I go to an Amish farm that sells them for $3.00 a quart. Most grocery stores sell them for about twice that amount. Last week they were buy 2 get one free!
Here is a detail of the leaf which turned out kind of realistic. I just looked at a strawberry leaf and drew the lines the way they are in real life.
The flower started to blend into the background so I outlined it with my pigma pen. It works.
Today I have bee at my house, I am going to serve strawberries for dessert!

ReplyDeleteThe leaf turned out really great and I love that you included a blossom!
Kelly, I think this diary quilt is one of the best you've done. I like strawberries too and think you made a beautiful rendering of some that look quite edible! Loved seeing the picture of your daughter and her friends too. It's wonderful that they've had these lifelong friendships. I don't think that happens very often.
ReplyDeleteThese strawberries look really nice!

The leaves look as though the sun is shining on them, and the strawberries look good enough to eat! It's wonderful to hear how you go to an Amish farm.
ReplyDeleteDid I hear dessert???
