This was one of my favorites, all raw edge applique, and very colorful!

I need to get my driver's license renewed this year. Imagine my surprise when I found this inside the renewal form.......MATURE? I am 57,  hardly mature, cough, cough.....

This paragraph disturbed me the most.........avoid left hand turns????? Maybe you shouldn't be driving if you can't handle left hand turns?????? Just my opinion!

  1. I know....I have the same thing. I'm lots older than you but reminders at this age are everywhere. Now the drive-thru gives me a senior discount without my even asking. Think our government handouts are written by those who just graduated from school? Old is a definition that changes as the years go by--lol.

  2. Oh, thank you for the continuation of the trunk show. Just beautiful. Uhmmm, I'm older and haven't seen those safety tips. I guess it will come with my next renewal. I agree, if you need to always avoid left turns, then it's time to stop driving. Some of those tips are good for any age.

  3. Spectacular quilts! Wouldn't you just end up driving around the block if you can't do left hand turns? How funny.

  4. That's as annoying as a doctor visit I had yesterday when the check in person started asking me a bunch of annoying questions. #3 was "do you feel safe at home?" I knew what she was going after but I said "Do you mean am I tripping over rugs and falling down?" She rolled her eyes at me and I suggested that she not ask me any further questions that didn't directly relate to my medical care.

  5. Thanks for the laugh Kelly. I am sure next year I will get that same notice. Maybe I should start avoiding left turns now. Or move to Florida where you do not need to see to drive. LOL
Thanks for the rest of the quilt show.

  6. I watched a program on driving after 55 a long time ago for ideas to help my parents. Left hand turns cause more accidents because there are more things to look at/for (like coming traffic and people behind you), and with planning you can avoid most of them by circling with a bunch of rights. I'm older than you are, but started avoiding the left turns after watching that show....so guess I was prematurely old. :)

  8. That is funny about you being 'mature'. I have to admit I avoid pulling out into traffic if there is a lot of oncoming action. I'll go right and come back around. I like the sunflower quilt, the potted flowers look like your type of quilt. I've also been pondering another flying geese....not like this tho.

  9. Thanks for having a second treat of a Wonderful Trunk Show. Now it should be interesting seeing us get to Lancaster all while not making a left.

  10. Eyefulls of color! Actually, in defensive driving, they teach you to make 3 right turns to avoid a difficult left turn. Not always possible but sometimes safer. I do that. But then, I'm old. And dang proud of it!

  13. UPS would prefer their drivers make three right turns than a left.....
