Blogging

Mimosa by Windham Fabrics

One of the absolute best things about blogging is all the people you get to meet from all walks of life and from all over the world. It also exposes you to all kinds of quilting and techniques that maybe you would have never discovered on your own.
Yesterday I met up with Helen of Til We Quilt Again. Her guild was meeting in Lancaster for a retreat this weekend. They were headed to Burkholder's Fabric Store, so where else are quilters going to meet? I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Helen in person and also got to meet some of her friends. I know it won't be the last time.
Of course fabric was purchased but we will just let the picture speak for itself.......

Have you met people through your blog?

Kelly

  2. Oh gosh, I've met so many people since I started blogging in 2006. Even better I've made some true friends. I love knowing that I can travel almost anywhere and meet up with someone that I know!

  4. That Mimosa line was made for you!
Yes, I've met many through my nine years of blogging, including one of your commenters! (Hi Barb!) I've never had a bad experience, people (just quilters?) always seem to be very much as they come across online. My most interesting get-togethers have been at the Tokyo Quilt Festival, meeting internet friends from Japan, Singapore and New Zealand ~ those really made the world seem like a small place. You're on my *someday* list, Kelly! ;-)

  19. Ah!That Mimosa fabric line is so calling my name! Only silly flooding prevented my from meeting you, my on-line friend. That was such a bummer. I'd just met Mary (Molly Flanders) just days before. I've also spent time with both Cindy and Linda from our MCM Bee. So fun!
