How sweet is this little pouch? I was wanting to make something with the bee fabric and found a pattern by
Aneela Hoey called At A Glance Pouch.
It's hard to see but there is clear vinyl on the front so you can see what is inside. I haven't worked with clear vinyl before but it was easy using those binding clips.
I like how you fold over the flap and tuck it under, simple but useful.
This is going to be a gift for someone special, I hope it inspires her to make some more hexies!
Size is about 7 wide x 8 high
Fabric is Flower Patch by Lori Holt for Riley Blake.

I wouldn't have guessed there was vinyl used. It is cute, a neat pattern. Perfect for carry on projects like hexies.
ReplyDeleteWell, how cute is that? (Very!)
ReplyDeleteI haven't used vinyl in years but as I recall, it wasn't as much of a challenge as I thought it would be.
This is fabulous. I have been eyeing off and loving that bee fabric for awhile now. The pouch is so handy, hope the recipient loves it. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a clever idea, and such a perfect way to use the bee fabric. A great way to use the binding clips too, they're my new favourite sewing thing.
ReplyDeleteJust too cute and perfect for carrying the hexies around!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute. It's nice to be able to see what project is waiting to be worked on!
ReplyDeleteLove to be able to see inside my "bags, pouches, etc." so that I do not have to open every one to find what I want. Cute pouch, I like that it doesn't need a zipper.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Those bees!
ReplyDeleteCute pouch, very cute bee fabric! You do a real pro job! I've never sewn with vinyl before, so it's nice to hear that it's not necessarily scary to work with!
ReplyDeleteAdorable!! where did you get the clear vinyl? The bee fabrics is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThat is perfect, your friend will love it!!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Lucky the lady who receives that pouch!
ReplyDeleteSuch a simple idea but very effective. It looks great!
