Bye Bye Beige
Well it is sort of gone.....The shower curtain really hides most of the shower, but that sink still sticks out like a sore thumb.
I totally went out on a limb with this rug from Target. It is more green than yellow as it appears in the picture.
I decided that because this bathroom will not see much action I would hang some quilts in there to warm it up. This one is made with antique feed sack fabrics. The shelf/towel holder is from Pottery Barn that I bought years ago.
The reflection from the mirror makes this look a little strange but I like these little quilts hanging in the corner.
This is one of my favorites and I am happy to be able to look at it when I clean the bathroom!
The small quilt was made by my friend Christine, it is also one of my very favorites!
Mission accomplished but I still want to get rid of that beige......soon!

Your bathroom looks wonderful! I love how youve filled the walls woth your beautiful quilts. You don't notice the beige at all.
ReplyDeleteThe beige did not stick out at all in the photos. It looks so cute. The cutes are just awesome in there.
ReplyDeleteYour house is looking beautiful - the blue makes it all so fresh!

Much more fresh and vibrant! I give it a thumbs up. Those black accents really make the colors pop. Your quilts add an interesting and colorful statement too, which should be good for time spent "contemplating."
