Zig Zag Scraps

Those scraps really did inspire me. The colors look bad in the light, but it is fun to make.

I took the trimmings from the first quilt and started sewing them together, very addictive.

Why do I feel like I have more scraps than what I started with?

Anyone else ready for Spring???

  1. I love it! I'd rather play with scraps than do anything else.
I was just thinking this morning I wish spring was 1 week away instead of 4!

  2. I'm always amazed with scrap quilts how little it really takes to make a quilt and yet when I buy fabric for a quilt I have in mind I buy yards of fabrics. I love seeing your colourful scraps becoming something wonderful.

  10. The zig zag design is great. Did you sew the strips onto a foundation? You've got great scraps!

  12. Great scraps! I like the zig zag. I have a theory about scraps... they multiply at night, some sort of spontaneous combustion thing. My dad always used to say you could put a burlap bag with a little grain in it anywhere, and the next day you would have mice! My scraps are like that....

  14. Great zig zag blocks; there are times when I've used scraps and felt like I ended up with more than when I started. I just love that little dish with the blue bird.
