We have been having a very warm winter this year. Daffodils peeking out from the soil and not covered in snow. The other day I saw an entire garden already filled with snowdrops.
Yesterday it was 57 degrees! On the one hand you can't complain but then it makes you think what is spring and summer going to be like? Freezing cold or broiling hot?
I did stretch it a bit with the hummingbird looking at the thermometer. No hummingbird sightings! yet!
Even the hummingbird in disbelief!
ReplyDeleteI love that! Clever block.. once again!
You never fail to surprise and delight me.
ReplyDeleteLove this one. I put on my down coat to walk coco and about died of overheating.
ReplyDeleteI too have seen daffodils - unbelievable and great that you have it recorded in fabric!
Your blocks are so creative!! It's nice to think of daffodils popping up. You may have embellished the truth with the hummingbird but I'm glad you did, he's such a cute hummingbird!!
ReplyDeleteVery clever indeed. I only needed to look at the block to know what you were saying and, since we don't have hummingbirds in Australia, it didn't seem incongruous!
ReplyDeleteAs for your coming summer - who knows? Here in Sydney the weather has been about 20°F less that average for three months and we have had more rain than we know what to do with. In Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth they have had record numbers of days with temperatures over 40°C (108°F) which is also unusual. Australia is roughly the same size as mainland USA; the distance from Sydney to Melbourne is about 540 miles by road.
great block! I am enjoying seeing these blocks and what you come up with!
