Seriously?

This is what the temperature said yesterday at 2:00! It's June 10th. What is the rest of the summer going to be like?

This is a picture of part of the rose garden at Longwood Gardens. I was there today because I am on the quilt team and we had a meeting to see the mock up of the next quilt. It is going to be nice. Stay tuned for pictures of it.

This is a picture of my Sea Holly, isn't kind of cool and scary? It is starting to turn blue (it's supposed to).

Here is a picture of the quilt I made for my daughter when she graduated from high school, 10years ago! It's been through college and who knows what else. She now uses it at the pool to lay on....hey it's her quilt to do with as she wishes....there will be no Baltimore Album in her future!!!

I even did some nice fancy feathers on this one. Next time maybe just straight stitches....

  1. Oh dear Snow Boy might blow up if it gets any hotter!! I love that rose arch! Sea holly is a great flower because its so different. I noticed your feather quilting, at least she obviously loves and uses her beautiful quilting.

  2. Poor Snow Boy!

It's unseasonably cold here for the beginning of winter so I can relate!

Your daughter obviously loves and appreciates her quilt.

  3. No quilts at the pool!!! :(
The heat is awful, feel like I'm hibernating in the snow again. AT least we have A/c. Your quilt was lovely. Love Longwood pics too :)

  4. I always love photos of Longwood. We always visit there when we travel to your part of the world. (Our family is near Jennersville.) Are you part of the group that makes some of the quilts I have seen on display there? As a fundraiser for Longwood?
We are very cold here. Apparently we have had the best start to the ski season for many years.
