Homeword Bound

Homeword Bound
It is done and I love the colors! This block is a traditional old block that I scewed a little bit. I also saw it originally on msmcporkchopquilts.

I love, love, love this border. I got it for $3.75 on sale. It kind of makes you wonder why no one else wanted to buy it.....?

I am  really loving the polka dot binding, the wild hot mess border and the cool black and white inner border. It is very chaotic yet strangley soothing to me.

Just to keep it real I have a giant tuck on the back. I can't believe I didn't see this until I was sewing on the sleeve. UGH! Oh well it is now part of the character of this quilt, because  I am not changing it!!!!

  5. Kelly I love this!! I have used similar colors in a recent oil painting, which is funny to me since I don't usually use all these colors! Anyway, fabulous as always!

  7. It's that fabric that appeals to me on the border and it goes so great with the black spot. What a fun quilt, I love it. I could live with a tuck or two too.

  8. A quilter friend of mine says, if someone's nose is that close that she can see the tuck (or whatever, fill in the blank), then their nose is in the wrong place! Love this quilt, so fun colorful and happy, like all of your quilts - love it!
