Color My World

I decided I wanted to make some hand made "garnishes" for my Christmas presents this year. All I did was free hand cut some circles and some batting, stack them on top of each other and do some free motion quilting on them. I added some french knots with DMC perle cotton in varigated colors.

I added some leaves, also done the same way. It was a great way to use up small pieces of batthing and scraps.

At first I thought I would put some buttons on but I decided I didn't like how they looked. I found these at Joanne's, only $2.29 a pack and you get a ton in some great colors.

Love that hot green!

I also am itching to get to this fabric....but I have some presents to make for now.

I discovered this show on the Planet Green Channel called "The Fabulous Beekman Boys".

Beekman Farm photo

It is a hilarious show about two guys from New York City who buy a farm in upstate New York and raise goats. They have a holiday show on this Wednesday that is worth checking out. To find out what time it airs where you live go here The Fabulous Beekman Boys

What a clever idea! I have just got my sewing machine out of the closet and dusted it off... I think I will start quilting again!! It has been years. :) A really cute blog Kelly!
