Post Card Swap

I am participating in a post card swap. The theme was "home" and this is what I came up with in about 15 minutes.

I just randomly cut out my objects and moved them around until I liked where they were. Next I fused and then sewed around them in black thread with my darning foot to give them an outline.

A quick way to spark something like this is to have already fused fabric in a basket just waiting for you. I just picked up a fabric I like and cut it. No procrastinating just go for it.

Join in the fun! (sign up closes Oct 29)

You can find out more about the swap here http://aspecialjourneyofmyown.blogspot.com/p/great-big-stitched-postcard-swap.html

This is going to New Mexico!

  4. Kelly, I just received my postcard yesterday.... thank you! It is SO beautiful! The one I made seems so inferior now. I was somewhat relieved to see that you're a quilter (I'm not), and that's why it looks quite professional. I will post it on my blog in the next couple days, including a picture of the back, which is GREAT! I really love it and it is so well-crafted. You should sell these!
    Thanks again,
    Laura
