Mostly it's because my tastes and style has evolved over the years. And fabric choices have exploded compared to way back then. I mostly use the internet to look things up. The print in the phone books seems to have gotten smaller. My Snowbound quilt is still one of my favorites. I put it together "whole cloth" style, polyester batting and tied it! It was ugly but my mom's Chihuahua dog LOVED it. He would work for a half hour piling it up then burrow under it and sleep for hours! It was washed frequently and all the batting wadded up inside and I thankfully threw it away. But, I still look back fondly on them, remembering the sweet intentions, the good things about the eras in which they were made, and for some of them, the use until the fabric was so well loved that it frayed. I like your Snowbound quilt, by the way. I shouts "happy!". As to your second question, I haven't used the phone book in many years. I don't like ...I have a quilt I don't like. I don't like the colours. I wont share it because I hope to give it away one day to someone who will like it and I'll feel bad if I say bad things about it. I hope that makes sense. I'm curious that your quilt doesn't have any stitching. I always think that the fusable stuff will wear out eventually and then the pieces will fall off. Your quilt is really very sweet. As for looking up information I go straight to the internet. It seems faster, easier and quite often it will lead to the company's website if they have one, or maybe you need to see on a map where the business is and you can go straight to google maps, there's lots of benefits that phone books don't have. Phone books are great for pressing flowers though. Rachaeldaisyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15437603769773251690noreply@blogger.com
