Sewing Bee Tuesday

Today was a bee day with some of my friends. I enjoy getting together once a month but it is hard to come up with hand work sometimes. I needed an ongoing project.

This was as much as I got done all day long! One and a half flowers.

As you can see they are small. I want to put another round on, probably a solid fabric. At this point I am thinking crib quilt size!

I came prepared thinking I would get 6 or 7 finished during the day. Silly me.....

I packed them up in a this adorable bag that a friend gave to me. It has become my favorite!

I just had to share this beautiful coleus cutting. It is called Fishnet Stocking. The colors are so cool and a little Halloween looking. I will be planting this in some pots next summer.

  1. I love the way you are colour coordinating your hexie flowers! At least you have enough prepared for the next 3-4 weeks. That coleus is very Halloweeny looking, I love it's name!

  2. Pink Hexie just lovely--they do take time--so one and one-half isn't bad at all...hugs, Julierose

  3. Your hexies are going to be awesome. I'm always prepping more than I could possibly do for a sew day. But now you're ready to use any spare moments you hasve to sew another one. Yahoo!

  10. You're so right about needing handwork! I'm glad to see you've started this hexie EPP project. I'm in need of a hand project too. Seems everyone is making Grandmother's Flower Garden, and though it's nice, I'd like to create something else. If you have any good ideas for me, please share!
