Lawn Watering Tuesday

Today I started sorting out the fabrics collected last night at the Penn Oaks Quilt guild. This is the beginning of our year long swap. This month's theme is fabric with words or text.

I did it while I watered the lawn. It takes forever! Like 2 1/2 hours....I have to move the hose about every 10 minutes. Do you know how much you can't get done in 10 minutes????

I thought I would show you a few of the 10" blocks I collected. A lot of the ladies liked this one with the birds.

How fun is this?

 and this one

these could be cut out and used some how....

We got a great variety!

The only sewing I did today was a label. I am not a fan of labels, I write directly on my quilt backs with all my information. I figure it really is permanent unless someone destroys the quilt.
The reason I have to sew on a label is because my Dear Diary Quilt was accepted into the Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza XXI show to be held September 18-21. It you are going, be sure to look for it.

Thanks for your recent visit and comment to my blog. I just now saw your comment. For some reason your comment did not show up in any of my email accounts, hhhmmm, I wonder what went wrong? I saw your comment on my blog post. I have to occasionally check the actual post often because of this issue, and it's never the same person this happens to. Crazy blogger!!

I have a handful of civil war 9 patch swap blocks to complete today. I am soooooo anxious to see what I get in return!!
