Betsy Ross I Am Not

My little Dolly Quilt is all done except for the binding, and the little buttons that go on the dresses.

This was my first choice for the binding. It felt a bit much though...

For some reason I kept thinking it had to be pink....I am not feeling this one either.

Even though purple is not my favorite, I do have some in the stash. I think this might be the one.

My husband came home from his trip with a much needed repair. This is on the back of his bike and get whipped around like crazy.

I repaired it a few years ago and I think it is time for a new one. It could also use a good bath!

  1. I love your little dollies!! The second choice for binding looks just right! A worn flag is a sign of fun road trips, but it might be time for a new one.

  2. The mini is so very cute. I agree that the fabric picked works best with the other colors. Even if it is purple.

  3. You mini is just darling! Did you try the light blue like on the scallops? Just my two cents worth. No matter what you choose it will be cute. Yes, a new bright flag may be in order but I bet that one holds a lot of memories!

  4. I actually like the second one the best. Pink is good and this one has the white in it to make it blend so well with the little quilt.

  5. Great dolly quilt. Love the colours.
I have to agree about a new flag. Each repair will make this one shorter and shorter!

  6. Your piece is adorable! I agree-out of the three the purple would be my pick but have you tired a light green or light blue calico? Just a thought!

  7. Your doll quilt is adorable! Purple binding looks pretty. It's cute how reading glasses happened to be on her arm.. too cute!
May be you can incorporate this flag in a quilt after Bob gets a new flag.

  8. This looks fabulous - you've done an amazing job! I'm sure your partner will adore it. I'm no help on the binding, sorry. I'm in a binding rough patch at the moment, can't make a choice on binding to save myself! :)
