I can't think of a nice person to blame than Carla! Her FW quilt is gorgeous! You have some tough shoes to fill, and steps to follow, but you're definitely off on the right track. Hope this is lots of fun for you.
Such enticing fabric choices!
I agree with Linda. Her quilt is a.maz.ing! And she is such a doll. Looking forward to seeing your quilt grow.
You will never believe this. I am still sorting through stuff in the basement storage downsizing even more. I found a few more quilt books and one of them was Farmers Wife. That book is staying here for sure. I do not know when I will get to it but I will. I love you fabrics!!!
Ha, ha, ha, ha! And I blamed Cindy *liveacolorfullife* when I started mine! You are off to a smashing start!! Keep going...please!Thank you for your kind words, Kelly.
Oh Kelly, this is going to be spectacular! Thanks for sharing this and Carla's amazing FW quilt. The prettiest version I've ever seen for sure! Are your blocks paper pieced? How did you get them so crisp? Beautiful work, as usual!!!
Those fabrics make me smile!!! Are they from a particular line?
Oh Kelly! Your blocks are gorgeous! Still resisting.....still resisting.....!
Ohhh, I'm so excited that we'll get to watch you make these blocks in your wonderful fabric choices. I got as far as buying the book. The letters written by the farmer's wives are a great read.
OMG love your FW blocks in colorful fabrics. I wouldn't have even guessed they were FW~my friend is doing the nearly insane 6" blocks in B&W - I'll send you a photo.
Yes keep going! These blocks are a great start. Now if only I would get the back to mine done and off to the quilter...
Kelly, I love your color choices for this quilt. This is going to be an amazing project. In some way it reminded me of your diary quilt. Looking forward to seeing it evolve.
I love to read your comments, they make my day!
