Pictures, Pictures, Pictures!

The Penn Oaks 2013 Getaway is now in the books. I think most people had a good time and some were more productive than others (I was not).
This is Denise with her very first curved pieced project! She was looking for advice while we sewed away and came away with this lovely block. Getaways are great for getting help with a project.

Angel's quilts.....

Bob's quilt......

Ellen's quilt.....

Rita's quilt.......

Carolyn's quilt.....the colors in this are great, my picture not so much.

Pat's quilt.......Pat won the give away last week.

Along with her curved piecing, Denise also got these done. She may have been the winner for the weekend!

Or maybe it was Cindy??????

Maureen has already started on her Christmas gifts.....

Sara embroidered a million names on this quilt.......

and is hand quilting this one.

Martha retired the day before and bought this for herself as a retirement gift!

Faye Ann persevered and finished this beauty up!

She used this doll to help her finish it. There is a little saying on the dress, this is what is says.....
I think I may need one of these!

Suzanne's quilts......

Robin brought Lemoncello and Bailey's to liven things up Saturday night.

Robin is kind of like our Martha Stewart of the guild. She even brought these cute little glasses that she dipped in yellow sugar to complete the experience!

Plus some beautiful Red Velvet cupcakes that were eaten in record time.
Thanks Kathy, Ellen and Robin for all your hard work. I think the ladies and Bob had a good time!

I made all my strips sets for my daughter's wedding quilt and did a little applique at night. Hopefully I will have something to show you soon!

  2. Your friends are really productive. There's nothing like a retreat to get you inspired. Limoncello and Fay Anne's motto can really help too.
