KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, BUT IT DOESN'T MAKE MY BLOW DRYER RUN!

Miscellaneous Monday

My baby sister Flynn's birthday is this week. Remember all those scraps I was playing with this past week? Well they were turned into a runner. I am not sure if she will like it or not, but it is colorful!

The fabric on the back is one my favorites, a Heather Bailey from long ago. I like it with the binding.

Today my granddaughter, Maddy made a counter quilt. I wanted to go through some charm squares and she needed to see all of them.

This is her favorite, she even took it with her! Apparently we are now sharing fabric....

We did not have enough time for glitter today but she still managed to get into the craft room to make me a card. These are the days you want to keep forever.

  1. Kelly grand kids are the best! Fabric addiction , sorry, acquisition should definitely be started at a young age lol. Love what you have done with your fabric scraps, if your sister doesn't like it I'm sure I could find a place for it. :)

  8. Darling tablerunner! What fun scraps you have. I'm sure your sister will love it.

I love Maddy's "counter quilt". LOL And I laughed at the "sharing" of fabric. I got to play with fabric and my granddaughters on Saturday. We even went to the fabric store together!

  9. That table runner turned out pretty good! I think she is going to love it. Counter top quilt... What fun!
Kelly, All these Maddie stories are so fun to read. Now that my daughter is almost on her way out to college, these stories make me think of all the fun Kavita and I used to have.
Maddie is lucky to have you in her life.

I would have loved going through charm squares too. I bet I would have started "sharing" fabric too. I can hardly pass by a charm pack without taking it home with me.
    Your granddaughter is just adorable.
