Diary Block Tuesday

Every Memorial Day and Labor Day we take a motorcycle ride with friends to a town called Chesapeake City in Maryland. It is not far and we mostly take back roads. This weekend there was a threat of rain but we headed out any way. We dodged the raindrops all the way there and no sooner sat down to lunch when the skies opened up. Lucky for us it stopped by the time we were done eating and missed every shower on the way home too!
I do not ride but am happy to sit behind my husband and check out other people's gardens!

I have been busy on some other projects and hope to show them this week...

  1. Nice ride, I like Chesapeake city. Did you have crab cakes? Great block as well. What you're working on looks interesting, can't wait to see it.

  3. Sounds like a lot of fun. And good timing yesterday. DH used to have a bike and I rode on the back. There is so much traffic here that he hasn't had a bike in many years.

  4. I am a life long Marylander and had to look up where Chesapeake City is. Now that I am oriented, I am wondering if that is the place with some quaint shops - specifically a shop that has basketmaking classes. I've been looking for those. You must be charmed being able to avoid the rain this weekend.

  5. Kelly, that block is so brilliant! You've managed to fit a whole motorbike into a 6 inch block! How lucky the rain fit in around your ride. I can't wait to see more of your smiley face project.. Are you getting ready for Halloween?

  6. You are amazing. Still going strong on the weekly blocks, each one is as good as the next. Sounds as if you have had a lovely, but busy summer. I am at last doing a bit of catch up. It is always fun to see what you have going on.
