Diary Quilt Tuesday + Giveaway

It is no secret that is has been extremely hot here for the past couple of weeks. I have always been some one that LOVES the feeling of the sun on my skin. Now that I am older (and hopefully a little wiser) I don't go out and tan. I am also a beach girl and hope to get there a few times this summer. There is nothing like the sound of the ocean, the briny smell and sand in your toes!

The sun glasses are courtesy of Barbie. I cut off the sides and glued them to the head. My granddaughter, Maddy came home the other day and said, "where did you get those?" I think she thought I stole them from the gazillion Barbie accessories she has in her stash.

Of course I need some reading material. "HOME and the lady's head" are from some fabric that I fused on.  I think this is one of my favorite blocks! The upside being you can make yourself any size you want!

The winner of the batiks giveaway is Ellen McMillen! Congratulations Ellen I will get them to you right away.
