The Pattern?

Joseph's Coat? I cannot figure how it was put together, not a seam in site. Applique on the big piece of fabric?

With circles in the centers. Look how she used the petal shape all the way to the edge.

I love the black random petals.

The fabric on the back.

  4. Oh that Joseph's Coat is a bugger! I tried making one in 2010 along with Australian designer Kellie of "Don't Look Now." She has all the secrets to making it, and you can find tutorials on her blog. But gosh, is it ever a tedious project! After making only four blocks myself, I have donated that UFO to an applique group who is going to finish it as a wallhanging for a charity auction. Anyway, if you want to know how it's all done, just go to Kellie's blog.

  7. I love your quilt Kelly, and I never new how a Joseph's Coat was pieced until now. Thank you to Linda for telling us about Kellie of Don't Look Now. I checked out her tutorials and they were terrific. It is really interesting and tricky.
It is so nice how quilters share their knowledge and talent with one another. Thank you all.
